The Turrentine Middle School band is a year long course that is progressive from 6th through 8th grade.  Students learn the basics of instrumental performance, as well as music theory, history and evaluation. Band at TMS is a year long course.  Students must enter band during their 6th grade year in order to continue throughout the three year progression. Students who are interested in playing Alto Sax must sign up at one of our band insterest meetings. (Please see the informaiton below) WE DO NOT START PERCUSSION STUDENTS. (DRUMS) Percussion students are selected through a try-out process in November of their 6th grade year!
